Saskatoon Redwings - Bingo News

Bingo workers are needed for:

  • Thursday, January 1, 2009, 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm and/or 8:30 pm to 1:30 am
  • Saturday, February 14, 2009, 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm and/or 8:30 pm to 1:30 am
  • Friday, February 27, 2009, 8:30 pm to 3:30am (worth 2 Bingo Credits)

Following are rules that will be instituted to run a successful bingo:

  • please be polite and courteous to the customers and listen to your charity rep and supervisor; he/she is there to help you. If a problem arises with a customer, please go to your charity rep or the supervisor immediately.
     
  • when runners cash in paper, only do so one worker at a time.
     
  • runners should continue to move around the floor and not form into groups. Watch carefully for raised hands.
     
  • make sure you are well stocked with paper for the intermission.
     
  • there is no smoking, eating, or drinking on the floor, but a room has been set up for this beside the main doors. The concession will not serve workers during intermission.
     
  • no charity workers are allowed to purchase Nevada tickets.
     
  • no cell phones are allowed to be turned on in the hall. If someone needs to contact you at the hall, they can call the supervisor at 244-9921 and he/she will get you (please only use for emergencies).
     
  • all radios are the responsibility of our zone when we are working and any damages will be charged to the zone. If you are assigned a radio and are not sure how to use it, the charity rep or supervisor will be happy to show you.
     
  • when using the washroom, all radios, cards, and money pouches must be left at the counter with the counter workers.
     
  • please only sign up for a bingo if you are committed to work with a positive attitude.
     
  • please keep in mind that we are working a bingo and not attending a social event.
     
  • TO ENSURE OUR LONGSTANDING RELATIONSHIP WITH THE BINGO HALL, ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST MAKE CUSTOMER SERVICE OUR #1 PRIORITY.
Clean up Duties

  • empty ashtrays in the pail provided
     
  • clear and wash all tables
     
  • after the last session of the evening, all garbage bags are taken out to the red dumpster, empty garbage cans are set on top of the tables, and all ashtrays are stacked on the table nearest the Nevada booth.
     
  • make sure counter area is neat and tidy
