Redwings Player Evaluation and Placement Process document
Player evaluation and placement, like player development, is a process. Effective management of the process will make a young player's experience in hockey a more positive one. The process outlined in this document is based on the criteria outlined by Hockey Canada "Minor Hockey Development Guide - Player Evaluation and Selection".

Helmets to be Mandatory for Coaches Beginning with the 2009-2010 Season

Effective immediately, helmets are mandatory for all on-ice personnel this upcoming season. This applies to Coordinators, Coaches, Asst Coaches, etc. Penalty for non-compliance is a 5 game suspension and immediate removal from the ice.
