This site is optimized for full screen viewing at a resolution of 800 × 600.

Many of these pages were originally written using HTML Writer, ver 0.9 beta 4a for Windows 3.x by Kris Nosack (download htmlwrit now). Extensive use was made of The Barebones Guide to HTML, by Kevin Werbach ( go to Kevin's page now). The author confesses to having borrowed freely from other web sites to save the immense amount of time that would otherwise have been spent formatting these pages. The map of Canada, which was obtained from www.atlanta.olympic.org, was modified as follows: Saskatchewan boxed in red; labels for Edmonton, Calgary, and Winnipeg removed; labels for Saskatoon and Regina added. Pages on Lavinia Surdu, Tars Bakos, and Claude Seguin were copied from http://www.fencing.ca on August 31/96, but will be updated here as necessary.
