in Tourcoing |

Viola Yanik of the Saskatoon Wrestling
Club won gold in the 63 kg weight division over the weekend at the
Gilbert Schaub International Wrestling Meet in Tourcoing, France.
The Olympic 5th place finisher and former Huskie wrestler defeated
Nadia Moussaoui in the gold medal final to take top prize. Yanik
will now travel to Klippan, Sweden for the Klippan Ladies' Open
March 4-6 before competing in the Trophe Milone tournament in
Naples, Italy the following week. |

Note to all Saskatchewan wrestling coaches:
The selection process for the 2005 North American Indigenous Games wrestling team has started. As part of the process we are requesting that all aboriginal athletes of Canada Games age (born in 1987-1990) attend the 2005 Canada Games selection tournaments.
The first Canada Games tournament is being held on December
20, 2003 (the November 23 competition has been cancelled).
Senior age athletes who wish to compete at the 2005 NAIG are requested to attend the open tournaments held in Saskatchewan, including the
Cougar Open on November 22, 2003.

Championships that were held in New York.
The first show will air on Saturday, September 27th from 12:30 to

Canadian Viola Yanik won a bronze medal.
