Junior Rally Cap players born in 2010* to 2012
Senior Rally Cap players born in 2008 to 2010*
* Players who were born in 2010 and have played at least
  one year in Junior Rally Cap can choose to register in
  either Junior or Senior Rally Cap.

The Rally Cap Program (view brochure)

The Rally Cap program is an entry level program, developed by Baseball Canada, to introduce children to the game of baseball. It is designed to keep the young players active and engaged, while learning the skills of the game in a fun, safe and supportive atmosphere. The game of baseball and the skills required are introduced to the young players at progressive levels appropriate to their age and in a fun and entertaining manner. FUN and active involvement are stressed.

Program Information

  • Jr. Rally Cap (age 4-6 years old)
    • Focus on FUNdamentals and baseball development
    • 7-8 players per team
    • Choose a Mon/Wed or Tue/Thu night schedule
    • 6 pm start time
    • 75 minute sessions (30 minutes practice, balance game)
    • use of community diamonds
    • Game Format
      • start with loaded bases
      • every player hits every inning
      • pitching machine or batting tee
      • play every position
         
  • Sr. Rally Cap (age 6-8 years old)
    • Focus on FUNdamentals and baseball development
    • 9-11 players per team
    • Choose a Mon/Wed or Tue/Thu night schedule
    • 6 pm start time
    • 75 minute sessions (30 minutes practice, balance game)
    • use of community diamonds
    • Game Format
      • pitching machine
      • 3 strikes and 3 out rule / inning
      • players rotate defensive positions
