Annual Fundraising Initiatives

  • "Stock your Bar for the Holidays Raffle" Ticket sales begins in September and closes in January. The raffle features a guaranteed prize of bottles of alcohol, and the prize grows continuously from September to January with donations of bottles of alcohol. Updates on the growth of the prize pot are done verbally and on the U of S Club Facebook page. This is the primary fundraiser for the U of S Fencing Club. Money raised goes towards general operations, equipment and coaching costs. The fundraiser permits the Club to maintain reasonable membership fees and further promote the sport recreationally, socially and competitively.

  • "Old Timers Fencing Night" This is a once a month social and recreational night for current and past Club members, including adult members and is typically on a Sunday Evening. There is a drop in fee of $15 and equipment is provided free of charge. The evening seeks to enable past, present and new fencers an adult social evening to catch up on life, recreation and make new contacts.

  • "Salle Seguin Facility Rentals" The U of S Fencing Club facilitates rentals of our training facility. It is an ideal location for social gatherings, fitness and recreation groups of all ages at a very competitive rental rate. You may contact the Club President or Vice-President for more information, pictures or a walk through. The facility boasts a large lounge area with seating and a boardroom table and a 4000 square foot open "gym" area with mirrors, including male and female change areas. All money raised through rentals goes directly to the cost of the facility for both the U of S Fencing Club and our partner Club the Saskatoon Fencing Club, to ensure that fencing can continue in the Saskatoon community.
