Official in-person registration at Salle Seguin Fencing
Training Centre, 414 1st Ave. N., 7:00 to 9:00 pm, on Wednesday, September 5th
and
Thursday, September 6th. Ongoing registration all season long!
Fencing classes for the 2018-19 season start on Monday, September
10th, 2018.
The SFC classes for
2018-19 are:
Learn-to-Fence (7-11 years old) - $165 per semester:
- This is a class for girls and boys with an emphasis on
learning the basic movements and skills of fencing, while also
learning about general physical fitness, fun, and learning how
to be active young person.
- 1-hour-long class for 7 weeks, offered 4 times per season
- Thursdays, 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm
- No Eligibility to Compete in Local/Provincial Tournaments
- There are 4 offerings in 2018-19:
- Semester 1 - Thursday, September 13th, 2018
to Thursday, October 25th, 2018
- Semester 2 - Thursday, November 8th, 2018 to
Thursday, December 20th, 2018
- Semester 3 - Thursday, January 10th, 2019 to

- Semester 4 - Thursday, March 7th, 2019 to
Thursday, April 18th, 2019
Beginner (12-15 year old) - $185 per semester:
- This is a class for young males and females that focuses on
the basic and general skills of fencing. It provides for an
expanded instruction from the Learn to Fence Class, but it also
perfect for someone who is just starting out of for the first
time with fencing within this age category. Emphasis is on the
sport of fencing and athletic development.
- 1-hour-long class for 7 weeks, offered 4 times per season
- Mondays, 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm
- Eligible to Compete at Local/Provincial tournaments in
Under-13 years old Category (must meet the age criteria)
- There are 4 offerings in 2018-19:
- Semester 1 - Monday, September 10th, 2018 to
Monday, October 29th, 2018
- Semester 2 - Monday, November 5th, 2018 to
Monday, December 17th, 2018
- Semester 3 - Monday, January 7th, 2019 to

- Semester 4 - Monday, March 4th, 2019 to
Monday, April 15th, 2019
Intermediate (Experience- and Age-Determined) - 1st Term $440 /
2nd Term $310:
- This class is an expansion of the skills and techniques taught
in the Learn to Fence and Beginner classes. It provides for more
individual and group instruction of the skills of fencing from
the attending coaches. Here you will learn the intermediate
skills, tactics and movements of fencing. This class is to
assist in the transition to our Regular membership level, have
no fear, spend a couple seasons in it if you would like, but
rest assured after only one season you will be ready to move on
to the next level!
- 90-minute-long class for 14 weeks, offered two times
per season
- Wednesdays, 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm (bonus
attendance on Monday or Thursday evenings with the Regular Group, routinely
announced throughout the season)
- Requires an additional CFF/SFA license purchase - $130 CFF
- Eligible to Participate in Local/Provincial and
out-of-province tournaments.
- There are two offerings in 2018-19:
- Term 1 - Wednesday, September 12th, 2018 to
Wednesday, December 19th, 2018
- Term 2 - Wednesday, January 9th, 2019 to
Wednesday, April 17th, 2019
Adult Beginner - $185 per semester:
- A laid-back class for adults looking to learn the basic skills
of fencing, get some general fitness in, and be engaged with a
positive social group. This class includes Individual and Group
Instruction from our accredited coaches. It also includes
mingling with our Fit For Life Class, and the U of S beginner
class as means to expand your social and fencing network.
- 1-and-1/2 hour-long class for 7 weeks, offered 4 times per
season
- Wednesdays, 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm
- Eligible to compete in Master Category Events at
Local/Provincial tournaments. Must meet the age criteria
- There are 4 offerings in 2018-19:

to Wednesday, October 24th, 2018
- Semester 2 - Wednesday, November 7th, 2018
to Wednesday, December 19th, 2018
- Semester 3 - Wednesday, January 9th, 2019

are a regular part of this group.

lesson with our certified coaches to improve and master

- For our most advanced fencers, or those who want to improve
the quickest, 2 individual lessons a week on top of the Regular
open sessions. This is a category for those who love to learn or
who are driven to take fencing to the next level of sporting.
